Easier Method to Fill Water Tanks
With Door Type Lockable Lids
Filling a tank can be a bit of a chore, as with the most common lockable door type as fitted to most Winnebagos, you have to take the plastic fittings off the hose, otherwise it wont fit in the hole. Long time motorhomer Peter Eyland came up with a brilliantly simple solution. Replace the plastic fittings with the more expensive brass Neta type and the hose then neatly pops into the hole and tends never to pop out during filling as it catches on the ripples moulded into the entry hose. The photos below show how simple it is. You still get to store your hose using the "connector" idea so that water doesn't leak into the bin.
