Webasto Diesel Heater

For those into bush camping in the winter, this gadget is an absolute must as it makes camping so much more pleasurable. In our case we use it just to take the chill off the motorhome first thing in the morning. Diesel consumption is very low and the efficiency of the heater is fantastic as it will pump out air at 40 degrees! It is thermostat controlled. The photo below shows the internal workings. As you can see the air being heated never comes into contact with the flame and this is why the air never becomes stuffy or smelly using the Webasto.


 

The diagram below shows the circuit. It is essentially a fuel supply, a small doasge pump, an internal controller for temperature, an air supply, 12 volt supply and the unit itself.
