Campsites Australia Wide

Motorhomers are not generally "herd" animals. Most prefer the beauty of nature away from organised camping areas. For that reason in this section, where possible, we will concentrate on campsites which are minimal cost and maximum nature. You can also gain excellent information from National Parks and State Forests in your state, Caravan Parks Industries Association and local tourism organisations. Of course the CMCA club website lists hundreds of sites for financial members. If you are a regular visitor to this site, you can easily check on the latest updates by clicking here.
Camps Australia Wide would have to be the premium camping guide covering all of Australia. It simply gets better with each edition and version 3 is now available and even has the complete Hema Road Atlas included - all for under $50!. There is even a book of photographs of the most scenic camps.
All of the excellent Boiling Billy publications list reserves, state recreation areas, private campsites, national parks and state forests and there is one available for every State in Australia. About the best publication available is Bush Camping with Dogs by Flat Earth Mapping. We cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful publication.
Sue and Steve Collyss have three excellent books, of particular interest to those travelling on a budget and with a pet, as every site referenced, allows our four legged friends to visit. So far there is a book on Tasmania, and one each on the north and south of Western Australia.
Dogs on Holidays and Holidaying with Dogs, list many other destinations to which you can take your pet. Rex, our Border Collie, gives his own personal rating to many of our campsite reviews. Being generally an exceptionally well behaved border collie with a very personable nature, he goes with us whenever possible, so most places visited are doggie friendly. We avoid reviewing non dog friendly caravan parks
